COYOTE UNIVERSITY IS THE OVERALL TITLE FOR HIS COLLECTED WORKS OF POETRY, WHICH, WHEN GATHERED TOGETHER, MAY BE SOME FORTY BOOKS. THIS WEBSITE IS THE POST MORTEM  HONORING OF LANCE BY HIS FRIEND, CHRISTIAN SWENSON WITH THE HELP OF LANCE’S FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

To begin I will be copying from Lance’s blog which he began in late 2008.  Lance’s blog comments will be in italics.

A PLAN;

My plan is to divide the mass of my poetry into books within the collection of Coyote University. Each year would have two books, one of lyrics, one of haiku, their contents in chronological order of composing. For example, 2008's book of lyrics is The Nest's Edge, and this year's haiku, The Red Fish.

For now I will add poems to this site as I wish, no order but that, and will add to each poem a date it was composed, after the copyright line, for my reference when I organize them later, like so: [b.3.21.09], "b." standing for "born." Or "begun." Or "boo!"
